Lost on the 4th July
Buzz lost his first tooth! He has waited so long and seems to be last amongst his friends. I'm glad, I like the first tooth to come out at 7 it's a good sign.

His tooth fairy came, he is called Willow and has the tiniest writing yet! I love the magic this brings the children.
And now for a very very quick round up in the hope of starting blogging properly again soon
HESFES
Last week was spent at HESFES. We drove up on Friday and set up camp. Returned home Saturday morning for drama rehearsals, watched the children dance and sing on Sunday and drove back to camp. Very amusing to all to see me arrive in white suit and high heels only to emerge from my tent in yoga trousers and HESFES hoodie. I'm so versatile LOL!

HESFES was everything we needed this year. It was hot and sunny, the kids old enough to ignore me, so the washing up, shower alone, swim alone and do the shopping alone. They are berry brown from living outdoors and were a pure delight from start to finish. I only got cross on the last day when trying to load the car Buzz refused to get out of it until I bought sweets. I lost it big time telling him to get out of the f****** car before I battered him. He laughed his little head off proving they don't believe my threats. Loretta took more heed to my words (I hang my head in shame).
Roll on next year.
CHICKEN POX
Buzz had a really bad dose of chicken pox, coming out with them whilst on holiday. He was really poorly and distressed but has no scars and the spots were mostly gone after 5 days, thanks I think to some amazing oil Tony's massage lady gave him.

SPAIN
Was hot and lovely. I read three books and didn't do much else. I did go down all of the slides as did the children including the kamikaze. We spent some much needed family time together and also some lovely time with our dear friends who live out there.

10
Boo turned 10 whilst we were in Spain. Don't think that's sunk in yet!

PARTY
We had the most amazing party for Boo and Buzz's birthday's. It was on a medieval theme and I was deeply touched by the time and effort people had put into their costumes and gifts.

HOUSE MOVE
There is a growing light in view at the end of a very long tunnel!!!!

On the up side
Well I think about school, decide it's going to happen, tell the girls and then spend the next week meeting every reason why they shouldn't go including more conversations with strangers about how wonderful I am for doing it then I care to think about
More thought of course to follow.
HE life is going good. I'm firmly in the camp of HE is just life continued until secondary school age (or there about). I do firmly believe that formal work needs to happen at this age. So this is what Pea and Boo have been doing. Only 3/4 mornings each week for a couple of hours. We're enjoying it, it's nice and the results are to be proud of. We're recovering lots of math to keep their confidence up until our new Singapore books arrive, we have some lovely new Schofield and Sims english books which are really good and they all (Buzz included) like doing these. Buzz is grasping early spelling and Pea has started a dyslexic program to help with hers. All three are writing out a poem and illustrating it each day to work on their handwriting. She was disgusted at herself to see Luke had better writing than her!
Tony has taken the piano lessons on board which is making one happy, I can't bring myself to find new tutors yet. Boo wants to do her next grade so we'll have to soon.
As part of getting the girls to work as a team they are creating little booklets on something of their choosing. As we are doing things to do with Italy through March they did a fabulous on The Leaning Tower of Pisa. I was really impressed.
The biggest change in our lives in swimming. It's a world known fact that I hate swimming. Well I hate fat even more so have taken up swimming 3 times a week in an effort to rid my brand new tire from my body. It's still there but I'm rather enjoying our time at the pool. It's at the gym so I can fool myself into thinking it's not full of stuff from peoples bodies LOL! The kids are loving it and the girls are really getting into their lengths again. They are both great swimmers but have no interest in competitions so when they passed their life saving their lessons ended. It's nice for them to get to do something they really enjoy. The benefit has reached Buzz's lessons also and he has been moved from widths to lengths. He is so proud of himself and like the girls has a beautiful stroke.
I have been making time for myself each day doing something I enjoy. I have just finished a bag for a present for Boo's friend. I love making things and this has been something I've really enjoyed. It took a long time!

We've had a lovely weekend this Easter. Tony took most of it off work and we have done just about nothing! It's been great staying in bed until nearly lunch time, lazing about playing computer games, sewing and letting the kids have the neighbours children here nearly all the time. We took them to Brighton on Saturday for dinner at the Mongolian BBQ, they just loved it and made themselves some really interesting dinners! Today we swapped Buzz for Summer and they all played then we all swam.

Buzz is being 7 and upping his questions, we must be at about 3000 a day. It's exhausting and highly amusing. I remember the girls going through this sponge stage. I love how most of the questions are things that I have no idea about, such as can ducks smell (yes they can btw). We all think these strange things so why do we stop asking?

Boo has applied to JA's again. I don't think her legs are long enough still, which is what it would seem they are still looking for, though her chances seem higher for White Lodge next year going by this years in take (obviously based on body!). It's a tough business and one that I'm not 100% sure of but she's talented so I can't stop her. She has also applied at a couple of agents for acting work.
So life is it's usual busy mad self but we are doing well, the children are happy and our days are full and fun.

Being a Family
Feel I should blog the week away last week but don't really know what to say! I enjoyed it, there were moments of sheer joy and excitement

and there were also moments that almost had me in tears with frustration. I loved just sitting and watching the children play, they would wander around until someone or something caught there attention and then would join in. I watched my own children laugh and interact with other adults and peers, some of whom they had never met before. I enjoyed the humour lots and being the brunt of a few of the in jokes really tickled me. At school I was often laughed at so I still get a silly buzz to be part of the joke. The location was the best and made me long for a house in the country again LOL!

To wake up and watch the sheep and horses idle their days away would be lovely. I didn't miss home too much, I took my mug, my own food and of course my own pillow. Little things to keep my head in place. The children took a mountain of toys for them to have something to escape to when they needed time out.
I think my photos might have to do the rest.

Friday I helped my brother and SIL move from Romford to Berkhampstead. Hard work as they lived on the 5th floor with no lift. They now have a lovely little cottage. I ended up staying the night after we decided we should introduce ourselves to the pub opposite
I left there early Saturday and headed for home. I met the children at the shop where they were having music lessons. Buzz showed me how he can play Hot Cross Buns! We all dragged Tony out to lunch. Felt like ages since I'd seen or spoken to him.
We then spent two hours buying curtain material. I was going off my head never mind the children! Home and the children played and I cut up all the material.
The evening passed in a happy blur of family life. Pea watched the Remembrance Service with Tony and I which lead to a large number of questions covering WW's, POW's and lots about Japan (including their bizarre choice in TV programmes).
Yesterday morning Boo had a modern lesson at 9am. On a Sunday! FFS! Tony took her on his way to work, I stayed in bed cuddling Buzz. We collected Boo and went to the Memorial Roundabout for the Remembrance Service. The children were respectful and understanding. We stood in the rain with the many others that had turned up and as always I cried silent tears.
We then did some shopping, finding Pea a coat for £10 which made her day! Dropped Pea to the shop to work the afternoon and took the other two home. They mainly played in the garden with the neighbours. I tidied up again and made a start on the mountain of curtains.
Tony and Pea came home and an XBox fest took place. We moved it from Buzz's room as it was never used and they all enjoyed a few hours with Tony playing every game we own! Tony cooked them all dinner of leftovers and I went to the gym for the first time in months. I really noticed a huge drop in my fitness level so need to get my arse in gear (literally).
Today has been education involving pen and paper. They have done maths, Verbal and non verbal reasoning, english, Famous People Project (today was Kylie pmsl!), music and reading.
I've quit guitar until after Christmas. My car is in the garage today which means I'd miss another lesson. So I've rang the teacher to say I'll start again after the holiday's. Make that the end of January then as we are in America for 2 weeks mid Jan. Feel sad yet somehow inspired to practise LOL! My head works in strange ways.
Buzz has drawn loads of pictures and Boo has started on some designs for the Newsletter competition. Buzz is still as crazy about castles as ever and has made one from the Jenga pieces (must get him giant Jenga for Christmas) and is now working his way through a roll of sellotape making a 3D one from paper
Oh yeah, think I might call him a reader now!
I'm bored. I was making the curtains and the needle snapped- I know I have more but can't find them. Walked into the village to buy some more but they don't have them. Phoned Tony to cry as it's been a bad day for me and he sent his sister out to get them for me. I'm waiting for him to drive them up on his way out to see a customer and I can get started. Making curtains has been giving me ideas for presents so I think the machine will stay out for a while yet
Mum wants to come for Christmas. I think I can cope with that, and can just about manage to find beds but it also means my brother has to come. I hate people sleeping in the lounge over Christmas (especially here as were already on top of each other) so that's out. Mum probably won't come now and I feel guilty. The joys of family life.

Older
So two birthdays under our belts. Pea is now 11 and I'm 33. I like being in my thirties- lots! Pea seems to have grown up more, she's looking very beautiful and her body has changed, she now seems to be fitting more into herself. Her moods are less just now but more serious when they do come about. For her birthday she mainly got clothes! Lots of lovely clothes with a more teenager feel to them and she has taken to wearing mascara on her upper eyelashes everyday. I know she's only 11 but I can't bring myself to stop this when I think she looks nice and my only argument is other peoples opinions.
Her main birthday wish was to got to Alton Towers with Violet and Gwenny, so her gifts from us were few. Buzz stayed with the remaining Portico's and had a ball there being adored by Buttercup and gaming with Ernest- he plans to return soon. Alton Towers was great! I wouldn't recommend the Splash Landings Hotel as we felt it was too Butlins like. We have stayed in The Alton Towers hotel before and this was much better! The kids preferred the Splash one
Monday we drove up and then spent about 5 hours in the pools and on the slides. Even I joined in and really enjoyed myself. How great to have big kids and really get full pleasure from the day without having to really keep an eye on them.
We had a buffet dinner in the restaurant with singing and dancing staff
Pea was stood on a chair and the whole restaurant sang to her. We then crossed to the nicer hotel for a cabaret evening. The girls stood on the balcony singing and dancing whilst we propped up the bar
Bed by 10.30pm.
Tuesday- despite plans to be up and out for 8.30am we didn't wake up until then! So we had breakfast late and then as we were leaving I fell over and really really hurt myself. I lay on the floor screaming and sobbing as the room blurred and I tried not to throw up. Great. Tony helped me up and I tried to walk but the pain was unbearable. So he carried me and the onsite doctor came and checked me out. I just cried and said sorry over and over to the children who were wonderful and never moaned once. I was advised to go for an x ray but I declined as this would mean the children wouldn't have got to go in the park at all. They supplied me with drugs and I lay on the bed for about 45 mins. Tony and the girls loaded the car. I then hobbled to the park. By about 12pm the drugs were working fine, I was fuzzy headed but little pain. So I went on as many rides as possible! I adore theme parks and the children were also!
It was a cold day which didn't help when we got soaked on the water rides. Read that as *I* got soaked!!!!! The girls were really brave and went on most things. Gwenny stood by her word and went on Air, even waiting through a technical hitch where we watched people hanging face down for 20 minutes. My stomach was churning so she was great to carry on. It was declared the best ride ever at the end
My personal favourite was Rita. WOW! Pea and Violet screamed the whole way round was added to my ride!
A great but tiring time was had by all. We staggered back tot he car and the girls all fell asleep. A long drive back to Reading, coffee and kid exchange before home.
My birthday was on Wednesday and despite me saying no gifts as Alton Towers had wiped us out, Tony didn't listen and I was spoilt
I love my new camera! I spent the day with the children and Tina. She did my hair and then we had an indian lunch which was yummy
I spent the evening at home with Tony and a bottle or two. Saturday night I went out with the girls for dinner and ended up in a nightclub. Had a brilliant night dancing for about 3 hours.
Sunday- hungover so stayed in bed until lunch time. Summer had spent the night so they all played then we met up with Tina and Co plus extra friends and Sylvia (who was home on weekend release). Had a terrible start to lunch when they refused to add three more people to the booking saying they were stretching to fit us in anyway. I said fine we didn't need to eat. They then shouted at the kids for playing in the garden and making the pub dogs bark. We phoned our usual pub (across the road) and said could they fit us in, so we cancelled the booking and walked to the other pub. Stick to what you know.
Home and Pea found her GP Daisy (a boy!) distressed and with what appeared to be a foot coming out of it's bottom. I can't do pets with things like this. Humans fine but not animals. So took him to the emergency vet. £47 wank to relieve the stuck willy. I felt like a fool but it needed to be done as it wouldn't go back on it's own and he couldn't poo etc etc. Seems he and Yoda (a boy) have been getting frisky together.
The kids spent some time playing with our new neighbours, two boys 11 and 8 and a girl of 5. Lovely for them to have kids next door as they have never had that. I like the kids but liked being alone here.
I made a roast and we enjoyed a family meal which hasn't happened much this week and it's one of my little things that *has* to happen.
This morning we have viewed a house for the second time and put an offer in on it. It's smaller than we want really but has 3 acres of land plus stables. It's out of town again but it's very pretty and we can see ourselves there. The Dream House isn't going anywhere and we need somewhere to call our own. We'll just have to wait and see what the future brings but it's still in the background waiting.

Finally Feels Like Summer
Had a great day today. We woke up very lazily with the sun streaming through the open windows and the sound of the children of the neighbourhood starting their day.
My parents are here for a couple of days, original plan for mum to help with some packing was as predicted thrown by the wayside. Actually I prefer it this way. Dad cooked himself some breakfast and then headed of to Brighton for the day. He loves to be able to catch up with old friends simply by dropping in old pubs. The rest of us went of to the farm shop to get some BBQ meat, back home to drop it off and then to the beach. It was packed as it should be on the hottest day so far. The children had a whale of a time playing in the sea and digging holes in the stones to make special seats to sunbathe in. Mum fell asleep twice with her mouth wide open catching flies.
We came home and I was so hot I jumped into the pool! I never go in the pool so the shock was wonderful to see on everyones face. I really enjoyed it though and it was nice to be part of the fun the children normally have with daddy.
Dad came home and we all had a lovely BBQ. I managed to buy a new rabbit hutch at the tip last week so Pea and I cleaned that out and re-homed Florence. She seems very happy with her new home. Two of the guinea's gave me a fright yesterday when I was cleaning my teeth. I wandered to the bathroom window and saw that they had escaped! Nearly broke my neck running down the stairs to try and catch them. They were slippery little buggers! Tony, Buzz and I must have looked very comical trying to catch them.
A relaxing evening tweaking the new blog, reading to the children and not much really.
After feeling so excited about getting this back I seem to have very little to say tonight.
