Nowhere near as good as her others, this felt as though it was her first attempt at a book rather than her 13th one!

What are you running from?
Really enjoyed this again. Liked the little rituals she weaved through the book and made me think of what my children will remember about our daily routines.

My Best Friends Girl
Dorothy Koomson
My favourite of her books. What would you do if your best friend slept with your partner and had his baby? Then she asks you to have the child as she is dying.
I loved this book. I really cried many many times.

Hated it as soon as I started it yet found I couldn't put it down. About a quarter f the way in I realised I was enjoying it. I think it was the strange way he writes. I liked the way it made me question areas of my life and the world I live in. I am intrigued enough to read some more of his books.

A Sweet Obsurity
by Patrick Gale
Took a while to get into but then really enjoyed it. Liked the way you thought you were getting one type of story and then getting something very different. Many hidden stories within. Occasionally felt like the author was doing a cop out to the masses and then swerved back into his own style. He didn't do this in Notes from an Exhibition.
